https://www.hobstop.ee/media/1512.jpg1024768Schjerning lustre colours are liquide solution of metal salts and ready to use. The result after firing is iridescent or metallic. The colours are intermixable and settable on each other, but careful not to over mix the lustres to keep vivid colours. Firing: Schjerning lustre colours must be completely dry before firing. Burn slowly at the beginning; simmer gently at 350°C and then quickly at 550-580°C on glass, 700-730°C on faience and 780-800°C on porcelain. The application of lustre colour on glass gives poorer result than on earthenware and porcelain.
